The HMC Oncology Information Center is organizing several walks in the region this summer in collaboration with Sport en Welzijn Leidschendam-Voorburg. Anyone currently undergoing cancer treatment or who has recently completed treatment is welcome to sign up. 

We know from experience that walking together while dealing with cancer helps. Not only because of the physical activity, but also because of talking with people who are going through a similar journey. That creates a sense of recognition and connection. On  July 20 and August 17 The walk will take participants to De Droomtuin in the Prinsenhof neighborhood of Leidschendam-Noord. There, participants can enjoy a tea tasting.

 The Droomtuin is a community garden where residents from the neighborhood meet and grow flowers, herbs, and vegetables together. The walk starts at the Oncology Information Plaza and lasts about half an hour.
